| ELTzone Network
Affiliates is a network of affiliated education professionals
supporting both personal and professional development through a range
of humanistic teacher training programs, school consulting services and
educational psychology based research projects. Our mission is to
support the activities of and cooperation among education related
professionals who yearn to improve not only the quality of their
services, but also the quality of life for individuals. |
| We believe that most school owners
are probably the best judges of what services or assistance they and
their staff need. We, therefore, do not offer pre-packaged goods or
services or support schemes for you to buy into. In true academic and
humanistic fashion we consider all school owners and teachers our
colleagues. In this respect, we deliver the same level of support to
our "colleagues" regardless of their school size or affiliation. |

| · For Teachers, By Teachers ... Not
Sales Representatives |
| Would you hire a lawyer to write your
teacher's lesson plans, an insurance salesman to provide teacher
training for your staff, or a publishing editor to market your school's
services to parents? Surely not! We understand that during these
dynamic but turbulent times the last thing you need is a
sales-representative knocking on your door and promoting an expensive
package of services, most of which you don't really need |
| In-House Academic Support
Services for EFL Schools |
| Academic Support Consulting
Services |
| Whether it's assistance with
lesson planning, syllabus & curriculum design, or helping you
to establish your own system of academic management, our affiliates
have the practical "real world" experience you need. Because we are
real teachers, and have the real experience of having been "directors
of studies" and in some cases, even school owners, we understand your
"real world" needs. Although some of us are ELT authors and material
designers, we do not promote our own publications or those of any other
EFL publisher we may have an affiliation with. However, if you would
like to explore the possibility or our writing material for your own
school needs, please by all means let us know! |
| Teacher Observation |
| Classroom observations can be
accomplished in several ways. Depending on your academic needs budget
we can assist you with the following: |
| Traditional teaching
observations |
| "Buzz" Observations |
| - ensuring that all
teachers are following the school syllabus and policies |
| - the standardization of
teaching across the same levels of proficiency |
| - the efficient use of
materials and resources |
| - the comparison of
teaching staff for efficiency purposes and peer observation
recommendations. |
| - the inspection of the
quality of physical classroom and its contents A school level |
| "Buzz" observation
includes both verbal and written feedback to the school owner and a
group feedback session to the teaching staff. |
| Training and Mentoring Services |
| · Teacher Training / Professional
Development |
| ELTzone has a range of support
seminars that are offered to teachers throughout the year. These
programs are conducted regularly at public venues and can also
conducted "in-house" at your school. In addition to these professional
development seminars, we are happy to support your school through
seminars that are totally customized to your needs or specifications.
These needs can be identified either by meeting with you or your staff
or by conducting traditional classroom observations complete with
follow-up teacher feedback meetings. As with all ELTzone seminars,
emphasis is given to creating support seminars that are both practical,
humanistic and that foster both professional and personal development. |
| · Teacher Mentoring |
| Teacher mentoring is a personalized
service we provide to teachers. Like regular teacher training, this
support combines teaching instruction and classroom observation,
however it conducted on a personal level and in a private manner. Much
in the same way that many EFL students might request "private lessons"
that cater to their needs, our teacher mentoring program reflects the
growing need for conscientious teachers to reflect on their own
teaching practices and professional development. This service is
available to your teachers either through your school or privately
through direct contact with us. |
